4 Quick Ways To Bring Spa-like Aromatherapy Into Your Daily Life : : Organic Lavender

Whether you’re a busy student, frazzled mama of little ones, or hustling entrepreneur, learning to decompress is a vital element of self-care. Sprinkling calming elements throughout your day can make a noticeable difference in your mood and be a great way to make aromatherapy a tangible part of your daily life. Fitting a spa appointment into our regular schedule and budget is probably not realistic for most folks. So, I thought it would be refreshing for you to see how I’ve brought the tranquility of Lavender into my everyday.

Lavender is widely known as an ornate, brightly hued, and fragrant plant, but what you may be unaware of is it’s enormous list of wellness properties. It has been referred to as the “Swiss Army Knife” of essential oils.

    Benefits include:

    • Allergy relief
    • Calming agent
    • Mild pain reliever
    • Headache reliever
    • Stress and Anxiety suppressor
    • Insect repellant
    • Dandruff prevention
    • Relaxation promotor
    • Skin balm for Eczema

Lavender essential oil is many times combined with carrier oils when applied to the face or skin but can also be applied directly to the scalp when used for dandruff prevention. I’ve found quite a few brands that have directly infused Lavender oil into their products, providing subtle bursts of calm whenever used. When using an essential oil I highly recommend purchasing organic, especially if you will be using it on your skin. I absolutely love Mountain Rose Herbs for their essential oils, aloe, and teas.

Take a look at the photo gallery and captions above to see the simple ways I’ve incorporated the healing properties of Lavender into my busy life as a mama and business owner.

Here is a list of the products and how I’m using them:

Dr. Bronner’s Lavender Liquid Castile Soap for my morning shower typically followed by the Peppermint Castile soap in the evening, Mountain Rose Lavender Essential Oil mixed with my Organic Shea Butter body moisturizer, Soapwalla Deodorant Cream in place of traditional deodorant, & Earth Friendly Products Organic Lavender Hand soap in the bathroom and at the kitchen sink. I love that guests get a tiny aromatherapy experience as well.
