Hey there lovely!
I’ll be taking over the mater mea Instagram account this Monday, 8/28.
mater mea is a website dedicated to telling the stories of women of color at the intersection of motherhood and career. It was founded by Anthonia Akitunde and Emeritus Deborah Choi in 2012, in hopes of providing a more realistic narrative of black motherhood and asking the question, “Can women have it all?”
You’ll be able to follow along HERE and watch the girls and I during a typical day here in the city of Seattle. I’ll also be doing a live Instagram stories that day at 4pm PST where I’ll answer breastfeeding questions from mamas around the country. I think there are also a few mamas abroad who follow me and mater mea, so that will be fun to hear what mamas around the globe are curious about when it comes to feeding their baby.
Finally, on Thursday, just three days after my Instagram takeover for mater mea, I’ll be doing a Facebook LIVE chat with them. I’ll be sharing about my journey to becoming a Lactation Educator Counselor, what it was like to live in Puerto Rico and Guam, and how I’m using my skills to serve women here in the Seattle area.
I’d love to have you join me for both events! What questions do you have about breastfeeding? Leave them below in the comments and I’ll answer them during my LIVE events.
