(Video) Loving Day Celebration 2017 : : Two Couples discuss the 50th Anniversary & Personal Stories of being in a Multiethnic (Interracial) Marriage in America

This Loving Day 2017 is quite special. My husband Brett and I had the privilege of sitting down with Nathan and Lucretia Berry, founders of Brownicity.com, a platform committed to creating resources and conversations around race, ideology, and the legacy of race. Nathan and Lucretia are teaching families and communities how to approach the subject of race and deal with de-racing wherever they live.

In this video we share our personal experiences being a multiethnic couple, raising multiethnic children, pet peeves, and much more!

If you’re unfamiliar with the Loving’s case, which took place over 50 years ago please take a look here. I’m eternally grateful to the Lovings; their strength, bond, and commitment to changing what they knew was wrong is an example of true love and passion that inspires me. I’m so very thankful to have been able to marry who I wanted almost 10 years ago because of the Lovings. I can’t even imagine going through what they did to simply live and be together. Please share this story with others and let’s make Loving Day an official federally recognized holiday.
