    Circle Of Health International (COHI)

    Circle of Health International

I’m so honored to introduce you to my newest partner in inspiring our Global Tribe of Women– Circle of Health International (COHI). COHI was founded 12 years ago by Sera Bonds, a life long women’s activist and midwife.

COHI’s principle mission is to support women and children in crisis situations, typically being natural disasters and those fleeing conflict zones. COHI does this by providing volunteers, equipping local professionals with training, contributing supplies, and promoting social enterprise. The resources and funding they supply allows them to aid in reproductive, maternal, and newborn care being provided to women and children around the globe.

COHI is revolutionary in that it’s dedicated to collaborating alongside female-led healthcare and community organizations, on the ground in the crisis zones.

COHI has been present and influential in more than a dozen crisis zones, including post-tsunami Sri Lanka, post-hurricane Louisiana, Tibet, Tanzania, the Philippines, Palestine, Syria, tornado-affected Oklahoma, the Philippines, Nicaragua, Sudan, Haiti, and Afghanistan.

Next Wednesday I’ll be sharing here on the blog my interview with COHI’s Founder and CEO. I asked her how her passion for women’s healthcare was sparked, what a typical day is like running a multifaceted global organization, and what’s in the future for COHI. Sera opened up and shares about how her mother played a huge role in cultivating an activists heart within her and also what keeps her up at night. All you entrepreneurs, mamas, and creatives, you’ll want to hear this.
